I think that the author had a different story for AOT and just decided to go with the bs he sent out. All these little interesting things that went nowhere is just too odd. Like why the titans are only active during the day, why was only one titan capable of speech, why was the power only divided 9 times instead of indefinitely. Why exactly do pure titans even exist. When I say exist I mean like it existence doesn't make sense evolutionary wise. The founding titan was just one creature and it's division was brought about so randomly that it wouldn't make sense to create a creature to recover the power. Even the way they figured out how to make them was random

I thought Helos was idolized for being a mere human Marleyan who drove the current inheritor of the founding titan (Karl Fritz) to Paradise, there for ending the great titan war.
